Why am I receiving a check from Network for Good?

Why am I receiving a check from Network for Good?

Even if you aren't officially registered with Network for Good, your supporters can choose to use our website or one of our partner sites, like Facebook or Google, to make a contribution to your organization. The most common reasons for receiving a donation through Network for Good are:

  • Someone did a Facebook fundraiser for your nonprofit
  • Someone made a donation through their employer
  • You already use Network for Good's all-in-one donor management system to fundraise
Once a donor chooses to donate to your organization through the sites mentioned, they are officially making a donation to the Network for Good Donor Advised Fund, which then re-grants the donation to your organization when the funds are received. The funds are sent once a month via check to your organization's mailing address listed in Guidestar.org or via EFT if you have already signed up for electronic disbursement. These donors are issued donation receipts by Network for Good or our partners.

What is Network for Good's Giving Agreement?

Please review this giving agreement as depositing the check means you have accepted the agreement. This agreement does not bind you to any of our products or subscriptions. It mainly confirms that you are a 501(c)(3) eligible to receive donations and that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the contribution.

Why are my donation details no longer on the physical check stub?

Starting in 2020, donation details will no longer appear on the physical check stub due to security reasons. Please register for an account here to view your donation details.

Why are some of my donations anonymous?

Due to Facebook privacy policies, users that are giving to nonprofits through Network for Good do not share their donor information with third parties. Read more about why here.
